# Sons of Legion
Nashville-based rock/soul duo — Adam McInnis and a musician known as Daddy Jack — who've built a sizeable audience (reportedly around 1.8 million monthly Spotify listeners) largely without a label, publicist, or management team, an unusual path for an act with this level of reach.
## Formation
McInnis and Daddy Jack met at a songwriter's night in East Nashville in the early 2020s. Originally performed under the name Seventh Sons before settling on Sons of Legion.
## Sound
Blends rock, blues, and soul with a gritty, roots/country-rock edge — cited influences include Led Zeppelin and Foo Fighters. Their moody cover of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight" has been a particular breakout track. Original songs include "Brand New Day," "Power," "Walking on the Edge," "Carolina," "Strange," and "Fire Starter."
## Reach
Built their audience largely independently — a June 2025 piece noted they'd placed 12 songs on the iTunes Top 100 without a record label, publicist, or management. Their music has turned up on ESPN broadcasts, Dodge Ram commercials, Netflix, and NBC programming; the track "Wishing Well" was picked up for the Amazon Prime series *The Bondsman* (starring Kevin Bacon).

## Notes to self
- Haven't actually listened yet — this is a skeleton note based on their bio/press, not personal impressions.
- Worth double-checking whether "Daddy Jack" is a stage name I should track down the real name for, if it comes up in future coverage.
